Initially found in Orissa, therefore Lavender Blue granite is known as Orissa Blue Granite. It has an ornamental structure of pale blue background covered with specks of burgundy or lavender shade. The silica composition of this granite is greater than 65%. Due to its long lasting lustre and low water absorption characteristics it is ideal for building stones. It is perfect for wall cladding, roofing, flooring, counter tops and is also used in a wide area of other interior and exterior applications. Lavender Blue is quarried at Berhampura area, Ganjam District, approx 1600 Km from Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, South East India.
