Famous for its high compressive strength, high tensile strength, and uniformity, this natural sandstone is ideal for wall cladding, flooring, roofing and other construction purposes. The Dholpur Red Honed Sandstone is also resistant to weather extremes and maintains its shine & colour for a long period of time. Mined at Sarmathura, district Karoli, Rajasthan and North West India, it was widely used in building monuments, forts, temples and havelis in the ancient era.
